Singapore Airlines recently said it will provide seamless connectivity between Houston and Manchester through its fifth freedom service starting from October 30, 2016. The Singapore-Manchester route is being currently served via Moscow. But, the plans have now been changed and the Singapore-Manchester nonstop flights will continue onwards to Houston.
Media reports said that Singapore Airlines would be operating flights between Singapore and Manchester five times per week. The Singapore-Manchester-Houston route will be served with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, configured in three classes. The airline will be offering eight seats in first class, 42 seats in business class and 228 seats in economy class.
According to the new schedule provided by the airline, Flight SQ52 will be departing from Singapore at 02:35 hours and reach Manchester at 09:00 hours. The flight will continue its onward journey to Houston. It will make its departure from Manchester at 10:15 hours and and arrive in Houston at 15:35 hours. The return Flight SQ51 will take off from Houston at 20:15 hours and reach Manchester at 10:05 hours. The same flight will again leave Manchester at 11:35 hours and arrive in Singapore at 08:20 hours (all times local).
Apart from conducting nonstop flights on Singapore-Manchester-Houston route, Singapore Airlines has also announced that it will be provide flights services to Adelaide and Christchurch under its Northern Winter schedule. Moreover, the airline will also be increasing its flights to Kolkata during peak season. There are also plans to operate seasonal flights to Sapporo as well in December 2016.
Singapore Airlines, which is also a prominent member of Star Alliance, said that it will be increasing its flights to Christchurch to 10 times per week from the existing seven times weekly services. The seasonal service will be conducted between November 13, 2016 and February 6, 2017. Similarly, flights to Adelaide will also be increased to 10 times per week from the current seven times per week starting from December 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. The airline is presently operating thrice weekly flights to Kolkata, which will be increased to four times per week in December this year.
