SkyWest Airlines now enters into partnership with Alaska Airlines

SkyWest Airlines recently said that Alaska Airlines has expanded its partnership and wants to operate flights to St. Louis from Portland effective from July 1, 2015.

Media reports said that Alaska Airlines will be operating the daily service between the two destinations in association with it and will deploy an Embraer E175 aircraft to conduct the flights.

Apart from nonstop service on Portland-St. Louis route, Alaska Airlines will also be two other routes as well with a daily nonstop service. The airline will be launching flights on Seattle-Oklahoma City and Seattle-Milwaukee as well. The services will be operational from the same day on July 1 next year. The routes will be served by Embraer E175 aircrafts.

According to the reports, seven Embraer E175 aircrafts have been purchased by SkyWest Airlines on behalf of Alaska Airlines. The first three aircrafts would be delivered in summer 2015, while the delivery of the remaining four will conclude in early 2016.

The Embraer E175 aircraft will be configured with a total of 76 seats in two class cabins. The first class cabin will have 12 seats, while there will be 64 seats in coach class. The dimensions of the cabins would be similar to those in a Boeing 737 aircraft. The customers will be offered various amenities on board their flights, including 110-volt power outlet, in-flight entertainment streaming and Wi-Fi Internet access in first class. The customers will also be able to purchase wine, Northwest microbrews, picnic packs and hot meals on board their flights.
