South African Airways announces “Fares So Low, You Gotta Go” sale

South Africa’s national carrier South African Airways recently announced its “Fares So Low, You Gotta Go” sale offering cheap airfares for travel to Johannesburg from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington-Dulles Airport.

South African Airways said that the customers are being offered low fares starting at $899* roundtrip. The fares are already on sale and can be purchased until August 17. The travel period on this offer is valid from November 1 through November 30, 2014.

The airline will be operating direct flights to Johannesburg from New York JFK and Washington-Dulles daily. Apart from the low fares, the customers will also be offered two free checked bags, complimentary snacks and meals, fine South African wines, on-demand entertainment, and advance seat assignments at no extra charge.

Marc Cavaliere, South African Airways’ Executive Vice President – North America, said that the sale presently offered and some of the lowest fares announced by the airline so far this year. He said that the U.S. travelers should take advantage of the low fares for travel to South Africa during springtime, which is absolutely the best time to visit Johannesburg and enjoy all the activities that goes there during this time.
 
South African Airways also revealed that low fares are also being provided for travel to Johannesburg and several other destinations across the airline’s extensive route network for travel periods spanning throughout the fall.
