South African Airways gets two awards for best business class

South African Airways recently won two awards from two prestigious travel magazines. This most awarded airline in Africa in a statement disclosed that well-known magazines ‘Business Traveler’ and ‘Global Traveler’ have presented these awards to them.

South African Airways said that Business Traveler magazine has awarded it with the “Best Airline to Africa” and “Best Business Class in Africa” awards. The airline further said that Global Traveler magazine has bestowed it “Best Airline in Africa” and “Best Sparkling Wine in Business Class”.

The airline stated that both the magazines have recognized its unique brand of South African hospitality. The business class cabins of the airline features 5-star comfort, flat-bed seats, on-demand entertainment, a cellar in sky stocked with South Africa’s best vintages, gourmet international cuisine, and various other amenities.

Regarding its “Best Sparkling Wine in Business Class” award, the airline revealed that its annual wine selection process is quite rigorous. A 3-day tasting of more than 1,000 wines by a global panel of wine experts is held annually by the airline. It is only after this that best wines are provided to travelers in business class.

Todd Neuman, Executive Vice President - North America for South African Airways, said that the airline looks forward to showcase more of cultural treasures, including South Africa’s best wines and culinary offerings to its customers throughout the globe.
