South African Airways introducing new check-in baggage policy from September

The passengers booking air tickets on South African Airways will now see a change in baggage policy of the airline.

South African Airways recently announced that the customers boarding its flights will go through a new check-in baggage policy starting September this year.

The introduction of a new check-in baggage policy by the airline is aimed at restricting the number of pieces of baggage a passenger might check-in.
South African Airways will be implementing the new check-in baggage policy from September 5, 2012. The new baggage policy will effectively restrict the number of pieces of baggage to be carried by the passenger. According to the airline, each piece of baggage being checked-in by the passengers will be henceforth subject to weight and size restrictions.
 
The airline in a statement said that the number of baggage pieces a passenger is supposed to check-in has been described in the new policy. Apart from this, the policy also describes about the weight restrictions for each piece of baggage according to the class of travel and route.
