South Africa’s flagship carrier South African Airways continues to be the highest awarded airline in Africa. The airline won twin honors once again during the recently concluded annual Best in Business Travel Awards. South African Airways became a proud winner of “Best business Class to Africa” and “Best Airline in Africa”. The awards are given every year by the reputed Business Traveler Magazine. A survey was conducted by readers of the magazine and the airlines were adjudged based on this survey.
The Business Traveler Magazine presents the Best in Business Travel Awards every year to recognize the accomplishments of the organizations excelling in the business travel industry. A spokesperson of South African Airways said that the airline’s services and travel products have been consistently appreciated, which ultimately resulted in winning top honors for the airline.
Media reports said that South African Airways is being named as the “Best Airline in Africa” for seven consecutive years, while it is also being presented “Best Business Class to Africa” award for six consecutive years. Both the awards were presented to South African Airways at its North America Regional Office currently based in Fort Lauderdale.
Marc Cavaliere, Executive Vice President for South African Airways in the Americas, “It is a matter of great pride that South African Airways has been selected as the best airline for traveling in Africa. The Business Traveler Magazine and its readers must be thanked for acknowledging the airline as the best in Africa.”
Lauding the readers of Business Traveler Magazine, Cavaliere further said that the readers are themselves great experts in traveling and it is only they who know the real quality and the experience in flying. The acknowledgement coming straight from them is therefore worthy of great appreciation. South African Airways has been providing top notch services for its customers traveling between Africa and North America in Premium Business Class.
South African Airways is presently the only international airline offering daily nonstop flights to Johannesburg from New York JFK. The airline also operates daily nonstop flights from Washington Dulles to Dakar and Accra with onward flights to Johannesburg.
