Spirit Airlines resuming West Palm Beach-Atlantic Beach service

Here’s great news for South Jersey snowbirds to get cheap airfares to Florida’s vacation hotspots this winter.  Discount carrier Spirit Airlines recently announced it is resuming its seasonal service to West Palm Beach from Atlantic City International Airport as part of a winter buildup. The flights were resumed mid-November this year. The seasonal service has proved to be a major boost in the prospects of Atlantic City International Airport amid a challenging year it had confronted.

Spirit Airlines in a statement said that the nonstop flights would depart from Atlantic City International Airport at 11:23 am and arrive at West Palm Beach at 1:50 pm. The return flight would depart from West Palm Beach at 2:35 pm and arrive at Atlantic City International Airport at 4:57 pm. The airline said that though it has resumed its winter service to West Palm Beach, it will now be discontinuing a daily Thursday flight between Atlanta and Atlantic City that was being operated for the summer season. Earlier, the airline had stopped operating seasonal service to Chicago, Boston and Detroit this September.

Presently, Spirit Airlines is offering daily flights to important cities in Florida from Atlantic City International Airport. These cities include Tampa-St. Petersburg, Orlando, Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale and Myrtle Beach.
