Star Alliance network offering 15 percent discount on RTW Economy Class fares

Here’s a good chance to book cheap flights and travel around the world. The Star Alliance network is offering a 15 percent discount on all Round the World (RTW) Economy Class fares.

The passengers are being offered these special promotional fares as part of the Star Alliance network’s 15th Anniversary celebrations. The offer is valid for all RTW tickets in Economy Class and is available for sale till May 29, 2012. The discount is applicable on the base fare only and not on fees, taxes and surcharges, which vary by routing.

Star Alliance is the leading global airline alliance with 25 member airlines on its network offering more than 20,500 daily flights to 1,293 airports in 190 countries. The network provides an unparalleled choice of flight connections and destinations to customers across the world.

The customers are offered four Economy Class RTW fare levels for traveling distances of up to either 26,000, 29,000, 34,000 or 39,000 miles by the Star Alliance network. 

Apart from Economy Class fares, the Star Alliance network also offers RTW tickets for travel in First or Business class (which are not part of the special promotion). The Star Alliance network altogether offers 15 different fare products, including three Circle Fares and 11 Regional Airpasses.
