Swiss Air Lines to offer enhanced services in business class

Those travelling in first class or booking business class tickets in Swiss Air Lines await a world of luxuries on board their flights. The airline recently took the delivery of its first ‘’flagship’’ Boeing 777 aircraft and included in its long-haul fleet. The airline is planning to launch the new aircraft for operating flights in January 2016.

A spokesperson of the airline said that the new wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft has the capacity to accommodate a total of 340 passengers. The aircraft would be deployed for rotational operations on routes to/from the US West Coast, South America and Asia. The redesigned aircraft will offer state-of-the-art cabins in all the three classes.

The airline will be acquiring a total of nine new, modern Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. The new acquisitions are being made as part of the company’s ‘’Next Generation Airline of Switzerland’’ strategy.

The premium customers travelling in the First Class would be offered their own private suite, equipped with a 32-inch screen, which s said to be the largest in the world’s aviation industry. The private suites will have electrically-adjustable window blinds and personal wardrobe space.

The airline will be offering a total of 62 seats in the Business Class. Swiss Air Lines in a statement said that the customers travelling in business class cabins would be offered enhanced services. The seating arrangement in business class has been completely redesigned, and will ensure more privacy than before. According to the airline, the customers will be able to regulate the firmness of seat cushion before it is converted into a lie-flat bed.
