TAM Airlines begins new flights to Toronto via JFK from Sao Paulo

TAM Airlines recently announced the launch of its new flights to Toronto from Sao Paulo via New York JFK. The airline said that Toronto will now be its fifth gateway in North America.

TAM Airlines, which is a part of LATAM Airlines Group, celebrated the launch of the new service to São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) via New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with much fanfare.

Providing the details of the new flight schedule, the airline said that new flights between Toronto Pearson and New York JFK will be operated five times per week. The new service will be an extension of the existing TAM flights JJ8102 and JJ8103, which is presently linking New York JFK with Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo.

According to the airline, Flight JJ8102 will depart from New York JFK at 11.15 am ET and arrive in Toronto Pearson at 1.00 pm ET. The return Flight JJ8103 will make its departure from Toronto Pearson at 4.35 pm ET and arrive in New York JFK at 6.40 pm ET.

The launch of the new service will enable travelers from Canada to conveniently travel from Toronto via New York JFK and connect to over 115 destinations in South America in the LATAM Airlines Group network. The prominent destinations among others include Rio de Janeiro and Santiago.

TAM Airlines further indicated that it will be deploying a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft to conduct flights services between Toronto Pearson and Sao Paulo via New York JFK. The aircraft will be carrying a total of 191 passengers on the route.
