TAM Airlines to launch first A350 flights to Miami in March 2016

TAM Airlines recently announced the launch of its first routes for its soon-to-be acquired Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. Leading South American carrier in a statement said that it will be receiving its first A350 aircraft in December this year, and will debut its commercial flight between Manaus and Sao Paulo/Guarulhos in the following month.

A spokesperson of TAM Airlines said that the airline will be launching its first international flights to Miami from Sao Paulo/Guarulhos in March 2016. The airline has also indicated that its flights on second international route between Madrid and Sao Paulo/Guarulhos will be launched in April next year.

TAM Airlines’ new Airbus A350 XWB aircraft will be configured in two classes and comprise of a total of 348 seats. The customers booking business class tickets would be offered fully-flat bed seats. The airline will be offering 30 seats in business class cabin. However, for economy class customers the airline will be offering 318 seats.

TAM Airlines will now become the world’s fourth airline to acquire Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. The other three carriers which have already purchased Airbus A350 XWB aircraft include Qatar Airways, Finnair and Vietnam Airways. Following suit, Cathay Pacific Airways will become the fifth carrier in the world is scheduled to take the delivery of the A350 aircraft in February next year.

Meanwhile, Finnair has also announced five new destinations to be served by Airbus A350 XWB aircrafts starting from October 2016. These destinations include Rovaniemi, Shanghai, Beijing, London and Paris. The flights on the new routes will be operated from Helsinki.
