TAM Airlines unveils Premium Business Class on transatlantic routes

TAM Airlines has unveiled the new Premium Business Class service on flights bound for Brazil from Europe and the United States. The purpose of this premium service is to standardize the quality of service across the LATAM Airlines Group. The group consists of LAN Airlines, its associates and the premium cabins of TAM Airlines.

Highlights of the service include more meal options featuring the regional flavors of the airline group’s destinations and Latin American cuisine. The menu will be updated every month. The TAM’s Business Class for transcontinental flights within South America as well as International TAM flights with Premium Business Class service will emphasize on efficient procedures for providing the best travel experience for the elite passengers. The crew members will use tablets during the flight to report any incidents, so the company can act efficiently. The children will be served meals prior to the parents for the latter to enjoy their meals to the fullest.

Several new ingredients will feature in the menu including homemade biscuits, Brazilian fish and stews, Jambupesto and Cará Purée. The airline will serve muffin with regional flavors for breakfast and dessert will feature Haagen-Dazs ice cream and fruits. Snacks include cold and hot gourmet sandwiches, cheeses and other delicious options. Depending on the departure time and duration of the flight, the meal options will vary. For example, lunch and afternoon snacks will be served in day flights while dinner and breakfast for night flights. The award-winning wine list for TAM airlines will also include wines from Argentina and Chile selected by Brazilian wine expert, Arthur Azevedo and new European wines.

The Premium Business Class on Boeing 777 fleet will have 15% larger seats than the current ones. The adaptation of these seats will start this month and gradually will be available on all Boeing 777s by mid-2015.
