TAP Portugal debut first A330 with fully-flat business class seat

A spokesperson of TAP Portugal said that the business class cabin in the newly unveiled Airbus A330 aircraft will be offering 25 seats to the premium customers. The business class seats can be transformed into a 1.93-metre long fully-flat bed. Among the prominent features in the aircraft include power sockets, USB slots, bottles support, tables with storage space and reading lights.

Media reports said that the new business class seats in TAP Portugal have been designed on the similar pattern of those in the Airbus A330neo aircrafts, which are going to join the airline’s fleet soon. TAP Portugal has set its sight on becoming the launch customer for the new Airspace in business class cabin in its first Airbus A330 neo aircraft being included in the fleet by the end of 2017.

It may be noted that TAP Portugal marked its 70th anniversary in September 2016, and has since been in the renewal mode. The airline is presently operating 67 flights per week to various destinations in Brazil. The airline had also launched flights to Boston and New York JFK in summer season last year.

TAP Portugal has stated that it is going to become the launch customer for the new Airbus A330-900 neo aircraft, with the first aircraft of the 14 ordered would be delivered by 2017 end or early 2018. The airline will also be taking delivery of six new Airbus A330-300 aircrafts during the same period. The airline is also hoping to receive the first batch of Airbus A320 neos and Airbus A321 neos totaling 39 in 2018.
