Thai Airways unveils refurbished lounge at Bangkok airport

Thai Airways International or THAI recently unveiled its revamped Royal Orchid Lounge in Concourse E-West at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The cosy and warm atmosphere of the new-look lounge is quite welcoming and the passengers are delighted.

The newly refurbished lounge is situated on Level 3 of the concourse and will be open daily from 5 am to 2 am. The lounge has a capacity to accommodate 22 passengers in First Class and 88 passengers in Business Class.  

The passengers travelling in First Class would be provided an exclusive zone with beverages and culinary delicacies, and spacious sofa seating. However, the passengers taking business class flights would be offered various facilities as well, which includes shower rooms and toilets with wheelchair accessibility, slumber area, savory self-service buffet and beverage corner, a hi-speed internet bar, two private rooms, and luxurious sofas.

A spokesperson of Thai Airways International said that the Royal Orchid Lounge can be accessed by first class passengers travelling on any THAI or Star Alliance flight along with one guest travelling on similar flights. The business class passengers will be offered similar access as provided to first class passengers. The provision of additional guest will however not be provided to them. The access of the lounge will also be open for Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Star Alliance Gold cardholders booking any THAI or Star Alliance flight, along with an additional guest travelling on similar flights.

Thai Airways International is the national carrier of Thailand and a founding member of the Star Alliance network. The airline operates flights to more than 60 destinations across the world from its main hub at Bangkok. These destinations include Los Angeles in North America, two in the Middle East, 13 cities in Europe, and 46 destinations in 19 countries in the Asia Pacific region.
