THAI offers Special Flights to Hajj Pilgrims

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently announced that it will be offer special flights to Mecca for Thai Muslims during Hajj Pilgrimage. The airline will operate special flights to Mecca between 29th September 2011 and 28th November 2011. The airline will operate its Airbus A330-300 aircraft which will be configured with total number 295 seats. The carrier will offer 60 special flights that will cover both inbound and outbound travel. As per the statement released by THAI, around 26 flights will depart from Hat Yai, two flights from Phuket, one flight from Karbi and one flight from Bangkok for Mecca between 29th September 2011 and 15th October 2011. The same number of round trip flights will depart between 12th November 2011 and 28th November 2011 from Jeddah to Phuket, Karbi, Hat Yai, and Bangkok. However, there might be some change in flight schedule, which is subject to the Department of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia approval. The airline said that it will allow Hajj Pilgrims to carry one carry-on baggage, which must not exceed five kilograms, with the total dimension not exceeding 115 centimeters or 45 inches. The check-in baggage allowance is 30 kilograms per person.
