THAI to facilitate check-in service at the Makkasan Airport

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently announced its check-in service from the Bangkok City Air Terminal at Makkasan Station aimed at facilitating services for its passengers.

The passengers taking domestic or international flights can now check-in with the baggage security check from the Bangkok City Air Terminal, Makkasan.

The airport has a good interlinking with the airport rail link that will make the travel convenient for passengers traveling to and from the airport. An official inspection was done by the Transport Minister Mr. Sophon Zarum on 4th January 2011. During his inspection he observed THAI’s check-in process as well as the baggage checked system at the Bangkok City Air Terminal, Makkasan.

According to Mr. Lek Klinvibul, THAI Vice President of Ground Customer Services, "Passengers flying Thai Airways International may check-in at THAI counter number 16- 20, located on Level 3 of Bangkok City Air Terminal at Makkasan Station, from 0700 to 2100 hours daily. This service provides additional choice and convenience for passengers who wish to check-in for flights at Bangkok City Air Terminal, instead of at the airport, receive boarding passes, and check their baggage through to their final destination."

The baggage check-in service will be available only to the passengers who have confirmed tickets on THAI domestic as well as international flights, and those who have purchased the Express Line ticket on the airport rail link. The travel between the Makkasan Train Station to the airport on the Express Line is only 15 minutes and will cost 150 Baht to the travelers.

Passengers will have to check-in three hours prior to the departure at the Bangkok City Air Terminal (BCAT), Makkasan.
