Turkish Airlines to launch Istanbul-Montreal route

Turkish Airline, one of the proffered airlines of Europe announced its decision to launch a new service. The airline, which operates flights to several destinations across the globe, is set to commence flights between Istanbul and Montreal.

The airline will launch the new service beginning June 3, 2014. Passengers will soon be able to book airline tickets with Turkey’s main airline. The flights between the city pair will however, operate on thrice a week basis. The flights will depart Montréal-Trudeau Airport every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The airline will use the services of Airbus A330-300 plane on the route. This aircraft has a seating capacity for 289 passengers. Of the 289 seats, 28 are available in business class while 261 are for the passengers traveling in economy class. The airline is popular with passengers around the world. Currently, it flies to about 200 destinations in 100 countries around the world. Its main base lies in Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport from where it connects to Asia, Africa, Middle East, and Europe.

The airline, a member of Star Alliance will definitely utilize the services of other alliance members like Air Canada, United Airlines, and US Airways to fly travelers into the city. Montreal is one of the largest cities in Canada and a prime business center and is visited by a number of business travelers throughout the year.
