UAE air travelers stand to benefit as price war escalates

There’s no better time for UAE holidaymakers than presently. At least three major airlines are currently into a price war which is all set to send fares tumbling on the U.S. and European routes.

Media reports recently said that leading international carriers such as Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Emirates Airline have announced a series of deals during March this year. This has come at a time when major Middle East carriers are into fierce competition with their North American and European rivals.

The reports said that the regularly falling oil prices have also resulted in prompted airlines to lower operating costs and offer cheap airfares to the customers. The fierce rivalry and prospects of getting cheap tickets have indeed come as good news for all those planning to book flights out of the UAE for their holidays and also for the expatriates who are ready to embark on their summer trips.

Travel experts said that as jet fuel prices continue to decline the price wars are going to escalate further, thus benefiting the customers in a big way. Apart from this, the increasing capacity to/from the Middle East and beyond has led to competitive fares more than before.

Emirates Airline is presently offering two-for-one deals out of the United States. Turkish Airlines is not to be left behind in offering cheap flight tickets to those traveling out of the UAE. The airline said that those traveling to Istanbul from Dubai can now book their tickets at $373 (1,370 AED). Even, Lufthansa has plunged into the competition and offering a $111 fare to Dubai.
