United Airlines celebrates its 85 years of its excellence

To mark the 85th year of its excellence, United Airlines has painted one of its Airbus A320 carriers in 1970s-era “Friend Ship” livery style. The airline began its first flight operation from 6th April 1926, where a Swallow biplane took the delivery of airmail. The owner of the airmail Walter Varney was the first one to give its contract to the airline. However, he later sold his business to United Aircrafts and Transport.

The airline during the employee celebrations at Chicago O’Hare International airport, unveiled its newly painted retro livery aircraft. The airline’s historical liveries employees have selected the new Friend Ship livery. The newly painted aircraft will operate over United and its merger partner Continental Airline’s hubs at Denver, San Francisco and Houston route until next week.
