United Airlines increases frequencies to the Bahamas

Travelers from the Houston area planning to visit the Bahamas to enjoy their vacations will now have increased travel options. United Airlines has boosted its flights frequencies to the prominent Caribbean island destination making the beaches in the Nassau Paradise Island more accessible.

The airline has now started operating additional nonstop flights to Nassau from Houston. The flights between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Nassau Paradise Island’s Lynden Pindling International Airport will be operated thrice weekly.

SkyWest Airlines will be operating the flights on behalf of United Express. The flights will be operated with the help of a Canadair CRJ700 jet aircraft. The flights from Houston to Nassau will be operated on every Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The flights to Nassau Paradise Island, which is situated off the southern Florida coast, will take about three hours to reach from Houston.

According to the airline, United Express Flight 6381 will make departure from Houston at 9.30 am and reach at Nassau at 1.30 pm. The return Flight 6388 will depart from Nassau at 2.25 pm and arrive in Houston at 4.45 pm.

The airline further said that during the peak periods the daily service will be operated from March 5 through May 5 and from June 4 through August 17, 2015. The service will however operate once every Saturday from September 19 to October 23. The service will remain suspended effective from August 19 till September 18 this year.

Meanwhile, the George Bush Intercontinental Airport has over the past few years seen leading international carriers like Air China and Turkish Airlines launching new services to Houston.
