United Airlines launches nonstop flights between Newark and Istanbul

Passengers taking United Airlines flights will now be able to buy air tickets for travel to Istanbul from Newark.

United Airlines recently announced the launch of its first-ever flights services to Turkey with the introducing of daily nonstop flights to Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport from Newark Liberty International Airport. The airline started flight operations between the two cities effective July 1, 2012.
 
According to the airline, the flying times eastbound will be 9 hours 53 minutes, while towards westbound the flying time will be 11 hours 7 minutes.

The airline in a statement said that it will initially operate the flights services between the two cities with the help of a Boeing 767-300 aircraft configured with three classes and having a total of 183 seats – 6 seats in United Global First, 26 seats in United BusinessFirst and 151 seats in United Economy, which also includes 67 Economy Plus seats.

The airline further stated that it is mulling to operate this route with the help of its reconfigured Boeing 767-300 aircraft later this summer. There will be 30 seats in United BusinessFirst, 49 seats in Economy Plus and 135 seats in Economy Class in the newly-configured Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
