United Airlines launching Wichita-Los Angeles flights in May

United Airlines recently announced it would be launching its new flights services between Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

The airline in a statement said that the new, daily nonstop flights services between Wichita and Los Angeles are to be launched in the month of May next year.

According to United Airlines, the new nonstop daily flights to Los Angeles from Wichita would begin operations from May 2, 2013.

Officials at Mid-Continent Airport said that Los Angeles is the fourth top passenger market of Wichita. The launching of flights between Wichita and Los Angeles would not only benefit the customers with cheap air tickets, but also enhance travel options from Wichita beyond Chicago and Houston.

Apart from United Airlines, another leading U.S. carrier Southwest Airlines would also begin flights to Wichita next summer. Southwest Airlines would start daily nonstop flights from Wichita to Las Vegas, Chicago and Dallas starting from June 2, 2013.
