United Airlines reschedules SFO-Shanghai flights to September 1

United Airlines has indicated that it upcoming daily flights to Shanghai from San Francisco to be operated with the help of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft have once again been postponed. The additional frequencies between the two destinations were originally planned to have started from early May this year, but because of “slot issues” at Shanghai Pu Dong airport the service was expected to have started from July 2 after a two-month delay.

Media reports quoting a spokesperson of United Airlines said that the Shanghai-San Francisco flights have again been postponed for another two months and has been scheduled for operations starting from September 1, 2015. The reports said that the outbound flight UA891 will make its departure from San Francisco at 15:05 hours and reach Shanghai at 19:00 hours the next day. The inbound return flight UA890 will depart from Shanghai at 21:00 hours and arrive in San Francisco at 18:00 same day. The new service will complement United Airlines’ flights UA857 and UA858 being currently operated on Shanghai-San Francisco route with the help of a Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

Meanwhile, United Airlines said that it recently launched its seasonal flights on two routes during this summer. The airline started operating its seasonal flights from Chicago to Dublin and from New York to Venice effective from June 4, 2015. The service on Chicago O’Hare-Dublin route will operate until August 17, while the Newark-Venice route will be served till September 23. The airline also said that it will start operating its second daily flights services between Paris and Washington D.C. during this summer schedule.
