United Airlines to launch B787 flights to Tel Aviv and Auckland

United Airlines recently announced it will be launching its Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights from San Francisco to Tel Aviv and Auckland in 2016. The two routes are yet to be approved by the government.

Media reports said that United Airlines will launch flights to Tel Aviv from San Francisco starting from March 30, while the flights to Auckland will start operating from July 1. The two new Dreamliner services will be in addition to the earlier announced Dreamliner flights to Xian from San Francisco scheduled to start from May 8 next year.

The reports while providing the flight schedule said that the Fight UA954 will depart from San Francisco at 20:00 hours and arrive in Tel Aviv at 20:10 hours next day. The thrice weekly outbound service will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return Flight UA955 will make its departure from Tel Aviv at 00:55 hours and reach San Francisco at 06:00 hours the same day. The inbound service will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

United Airlines is presently operating twice daily flights to Tel Aviv from Newark Liberty. The route is being served with the help of a Boeing 777 aircraft.

A spokesperson of United Airlines also provided details of the San Francisco-Auckland route to be operated from July 1, 2016. The airline will deploy a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to operate the flights until October 28, after which it will switch to a daily service utilizing the same aircraft. The SFO-Auckland route will be operated by United Airlines in partnership with Air New Zealand. Both the airlines are members of Star Alliance.
