United Airlines to launch daily Tel Aviv-SFO flights from Oct 8

United Airlines recently announced it will be launching additional flights services between Israel and United States from October this year. The airline had only two months ago launched direct flights between the two destinations with thrice weekly services.

Media reports said that United Airlines has decided to increase the frequency of its flights services on Tel Aviv-San Francisco route with daily flights. The new daily service will be launched by the airline starting from October 8, 2016. The two destinations will be served with the help of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts.

The airline in a statement said that the additional flights would be operated as per the schedule of the existing flights services. The new schedule was also announced by the airline. Flights from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport will depart at 00:55 am daily and arrive in San Francisco at 6:00 am the same day. The return flight will make its departure from San Francisco at 8:00 pm and arrive in Tel Aviv at 8:15 pm next day (local time). The duration of the outbound flight would be around 15:05 hours westward, while the return flight duration would be around 14:10 hours eastward.

Travel experts said that the flights would prove to be beneficial for the customers planning to visit San Francisco and also for those who want to board a follow-on flight from San Francisco. It may be noted that United Airlines is currently operating 280 flights services from San Francisco to around 90 destinations across the United States, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Avi Friedman, United Airlines’ Managing Director – Israel, said, “The company’s decision to add more flights services on the San Francisco route has been taken considering the strong passenger demand for increased frequencies on the route only after few months of the launch of the new services. The response from the passengers has been tremendous and the service is proving to be quite successful. This is also a testimony to the fact that the customers are greatly appreciating the convenient schedule offering them opportunity to save time.”
