United Airlines welcomes new Star Alliance partners Copa, Avianca and TACA

Passengers taking United Airlines flights will now have expanded travel option with flights into Latin America.

United Airlines has expressed its happiness with the recent joining of Copa Airlines, Avianca and TACA Airlines in the leading global airline network Star Alliance.

The airline, while welcoming the new Star Alliance partners, said that it will now be able to expand its reach into Latin America and offer air tickets to its customers in these destinations.

United Airlines also announced that it will now be placing its flight code on Avianca-operated flights to various cities in Colombia. The airline also stated that that Avianca will also be putting its flight code on select United Airlines-operated flights within the United States.
  
United Airlines is also into codeshare partnership with TACA Airlines ever since 2006. Apart from this, the airline has also a codeshare agreement with Copa Airlines.

Currently, United Airlines along with its subsidiary United Express operate an average of 5,605 daily flights to 375 cities spanned on six continents from its hubs in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Chicago, New York/Newark, Cleveland, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, Guam and Tokyo.
