United Introduces Embraer 175 to Boston and Washington Flights

Chicago based United Airlines announced that it will upgrade its flights from Chicago to Boston and Washington DC. Taking a step further towards go green and to make passengers more comfortable the airline will used Embraer 175 aircraft on both its key routes.

Operated by SkyWest Airlines, this 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft will be used for United Express flights and will fly to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport from May 17 and to Logan International Airport, Boston from May 19, 2014. This Embraer aircraft will offer 12 United First, 16 United Economy Plus and 48 United Economy plane tickets.

This aircraft will offer passengers broader aisle and seats, increased personal space and bigger overhead cabins that can easily fit-in standard carry-on bags. All the 12 United First seats will also have power outlet facility. Apart from passenger comfort this aircraft will also be fuel efficient and will emit far lesser carbon dioxide as compared to other regional aircrafts.

United Airlines plans to add a total of 300 Embraer 175 to its United Express regional jet fleet. In 2013 American Airlines had also replaced its regional flights with 76-seat Embraer.
