United to launch Embraer 175 service to new destinations in June

United Airlines has announced its plans to launch flights to new cities within the country. The carrier is all set to fly from its hub in Houston, Texas to Atlanta, New Orleans, and Austin. The flights from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Atlanta and New Orleans will commence from June 15, 2014. On the other hand, the service to Austin will begin from June 16, 2014.

The Chicago based carrier intends to offer airline tickets to these destinations on its newly acquired Embraer 175 aircrafts. Atlanta serves as the capital of Georgia State and is frequented by domestic and international travelers in large numbers. Some of the most prominent places of interest in the city include CNN Center, Fox Theater, and The World of Coca-Cola. New Orleans in the state of Louisiana is most popular for attractions like Jackson Square, The Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and Mardi Gras World.

Besides these services, the airline has also announced its intentions to deploy Embraer 175 planes from Chicago to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Atlanta and New York. The flights from Chicago O’Hare to Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Atlanta will commence on June 15, 2014. The service between Chicago O’Hare and New York LaGuardia is set to begin June 23, 2014.

Embraer 175 aircrafts are equipped with a seating capacity for 76 passengers across three classes. Of the 76 seats, 12 are available in the United First Class while 16 comprise the United Economy Plus Class. The remaining 48 seats belong to the United Economy Class. At present, this commercial airline flies to 373 destinations around the world. Some of these include Amsterdam, Bangkok, Geneva, Havana, Madrid, Oslo, Seoul, Toronto, and Zurich.
