United unveil series of upgrades to better customer experience

United Airlines has launched a series of upgrades aimed at offering a better travel experience to its customers. The airline will be undertaking significant revamp of its United Clubs. The upgrades include extensive renovations, food changes and focus on hospitality.

Media reports recently said that the airline will be launching an all-new free food menu at its 49 United Clubs, ranging from a hot oatmeal station and Greek yogurt bar to hummus with peppers and pretzel crisps.

The reports said that the airline’s flagship United Club at Chicago O’Hare International Airport will see the changes first. The United Clubs at various U.S. airports including Washington Dulles, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Newark, Denver and Houston will have new items available by the end of summer. These would be available for those booking first class and business class flights on the airline. The customers would be offered new food menu at all the clubs by the end of 2015.

Apart from renovating United Clubs at Chicago O’Hare, the airline will also be undertaking renovations of its clubs at Washington Reagan, Tokyo Narita and Hong Kong airports. Major changes will also be carried out at the club at Los Angeles. The airline has also decided to build new United Clubs in San Francisco and Atlanta as well.

According to Hawaiian Airlines, the new and upgraded clubs would be featuring a modern style with enhanced amenities being prominently showcased in the existing United Clubs at Seattle, San Diego, London Heathrow, Boston and Chicago O’Hare airports. The new design will have more diverse seatings and would be a mix of the airline’s aviation history and modern-day aviation.
