US Airways expands D.C. services

US Airways plans to start flights to 11 new travel destinations and add services on its existing 3 destinations. This news comes as a treat for passengers flying out of Reagan International Airport.

At present 8 out of the 11 new destinations do not have any service to Reagan. The first phase of this expansion project will take flight from March 25, 2012. These sectors will operate non-stop, daily flights to Birmingham, Alabama; Fayetteville, North Carolina; Islip, New York; Little Rock, Arkansas; Jacksonville, North Carolina; Pensacola, Florida; Tallahassee, Florida; Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; Omaha, Nebraska; and Ottawa, Ontario.

Hartford, Connecticut will get an additional daily nonstop flight, whereas Bangor, Maine and Savannah, Georgia will get daily flights.

The final phase of this expansion project will begin of July 11, 2012 and will feature few more new flights from Washington.
