US Airways forecasts improved air travel demand in Q4

US Airways recently indicated that travelers will book air tickets more in Q4 this year contributing to the increase in revenues of the airline.

The airline has forecast that there will be improvement in air travel demand, as the outcome of the economic recession and U.S. elections becomes clearer to the people.

Scott Kirby, President of US Airways, said that the core business travel continued to be stable even as there was a slowdown in discretionary business travel to conventions and conferences.
 
Kirby predicted that business travel is set to bounce back to March-April levels as the leisure passenger demand continues to be strong.

US Airways revealed that its passenger revenue increased 1 percent in August this year. The airline’s rival Delta Air Lines also reported significant growth in its flights earnings and said that its passenger revenue per available seat mile increased 4 percent this August.

US Airways launched new daily nonstop flights services to Austin and San Antonio from Philadelphia this September. The airline also started operating a sixth daily flight to Dallas-Fort Worth.
