US Airways launches new Tulsa-Charlotte flights

US Airways recently launched its daily nonstop flights between Tulsa and Charlotte. The new flight started operating from July 2, 2014. This will be the airline’s first service to Tulsa. The flight will depart for Tulsa at 12.50 pm. The flight will make its journey to North Carolina at 2 pm.

The airline will be offering two daily flight services between the two destinations. US Airways maintain its hub at Charlotte, which is among the biggest East Coast hub for the airline. With the launch of new Tulsa-Charlotte route, the customers will greatly benefit with the crucial access to multiple Atlantic seaboard destinations.

The new route is being considered as part of the merger process between American Airlines and US Airways. Media reports said that both the carriers have started repositioning the route maps as well as schedules for taking advantage on their December merger in a big way.

Apart from US Airways, Tulsa is also being served by other carriers as well. United Airlines will be operating direct flights on Washington Dulles-Tulsa and Newark-Tulsa routes once daily. Delta Air Lines will be offering five daily flights between Atlanta and Tulsa. American Airlines will be providing a Saturday Only service from Miami to Tulsa. Allegiant Air will be offering twice weekly flights between Tulsa and Orlando-Sanford.

Meanwhile, in yet another development US Airways and American Airlines have now merged their terminals at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The move of the two airlines is indicative of their merger plans, which is progressing smoothly.

The two airlines have combined their flight departures and will be operating out of a single terminal at Chicago O’Hare airport. US Airways was until now operating its flights out of Terminal 2, while American Airlines is conducting its flights services out of Terminal 3. According to the new arrangement post merger, the flights operated by US Airways will also make departures from Terminal 3.
