Virgin America sign codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines

Virgin America recently announced it has signed a new codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines. The agreement would prove to be beneficial for Singapore Airlines particularly as it will get increased access to various cities across the U.S.

The airline in a statement said that the new codeshare pact would enable Virgin America flights code to be put on Singapore Airlines-operated flights. Similarly, Singapore Airlines would also be able to put its flight code on Virgin America-operated flights.

By putting its code on Virgin America-operated flights, the customers traveling by Singapore Airlines flights would also be able to conveniently connect to several U.S. cities, including Washington D.C., Seattle, San Diego, Portland, Philadelphia, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale and Chicago from San Francisco and Los Angeles.

According to Virgin America, the air tickets are already up for sale and customers can book them immediately. The travel period has started from December 19, 2012.
