Virgin Atlantic Airways to offer in-flight mobile service in business class on Delhi-London route

Richard Branson-owned British carrier Virgin Atlantic Airways recently announced it is introducing its new Airbus A-330 aircraft on the busy Delhi-London route starting from July 11, 2012.
 
The airline in a statement said that it will start offering in-flight mobile service on this route for the convenience of business travelers as well as other customers.

According to a spokesperson, the airline is introducing this new facility considering the growth of business class traffic on the route, which is over 15 percent.

The new in-flight mobile service facility is a part of Virgin Atlantic Airways’ investment plan for upgrading facilities onboard the aircrafts. Some of these upgraded facilities include redesigned business class seats with more recline, longer lie-flat beds, mood-lighting, a state-of-the-art touchscreen entertainment system and a big bar onboard the Airbus A-330 aircrafts.

The ‘AeroMobile’ system on the new Airbus A-330 aircraft on Delhi-London route will help passengers to receive and make calls as well as send texts from mobile phones at 35,000 feet onboard their flights.
