Virgin Atlantic unveils Clubhouse lounge at Los Angeles airport

Virgin Atlantic Airways recently inaugurated its Clubhouse lounge at Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminal 2. The lounge has been built at an estimated $3.87 million (2.5 million GBP).
 
The facility at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has been opened by Virgin Atlantic Airways as part of its $464.58 million (300 million GBP) investment plan to enhance customer experience.

With its 4,000 square meter space, the Clubhouse lounge is quite spacious. The lounge faces the Hollywood Hills at some distance away. The newly-opened Clubhouse lounge makes it the eleventh such lounge for Virgin Atlantic Airways. Among other Clubhouse lounge being operated by the airline includes those in Newark Liberty Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, both of them having similar design on the lines of Los Angeles International Airport.

The access to the Clubhouse lounge is open for Virgin Atlantic Airways’ business class (Upper Class) customers or those holding a Flying Gold Club membership card. The customers making use of the lounge are offered complimentary Wi-Fi access. The customers are also offered a restaurant menu with three signature dishes, which includes miso donuts, chilli crab toast and green papaya salad. Among other facilities at the lounge include a refreshed check-in area and the newly-introduced meet-and-greet chauffeur drop-off service.

Reuben Arnold, Brand and Customer Engagement Director of Virgin Atlantic Airways, said, “The airline considered Los Angeles International Airport as the natural choice for making its next Clubhouse investment. The choice of the airport becomes all the moiré important for the airline because it will be completing 25 years of its services hare in 2015.”
