Virgin Australia’s Perth Airport business class lounge upgraded

Leading Australian carrier Virgin Australia recently announced it has upgraded its lounge at Perth Airport.

The lounge is accessible to Virgin Australia’s passengers booking business class seats as well as for Platinum and Gold members of the airline’s Velocity frequent flyer program.
 
The airline in a statement said that the upgraded lounge will now be more spacious and can now seat more passengers than before. The lounge is also equipped with more flat-screen tellies.

According to the airline, the newly-refurbished lounge now has nearly 400 square meters of extra space and can accommodate up to 300 travelers. The lounge is also larger than the one in Brisbane.

Martin Daley, Virgin Australia’s Group Executive for Product & Guest Services, said that the new lounge has been designed on the similar lines of the Sydney lounge. He also said that a new terminal is scheduled to be opened at Perth Airport in 2014 and a new business class lounge will also be built.
