Volaris to touch base with Ontario International Airport

Volaris airlines, a trend setter in the Mexican aviation industry with its discounted fares has now started twice weekly flights from Guadalajara, Mexico to Ontario, Canada. This will be the first time that Volaris will be serving ONT.

Jess Romo, Manager Ontario International Airport said this is great news for the people traveling from Ontario as Volaris is the first airline since 2007 to commence new service from Ontario. With this, passengers flying to Mexico will get more options to choose from.

Flights will land in Ontario at 2300 hours and will depart for Guadalajara 0040 hours next day. Twice weekly flights will depart from Guadalajara every Wednesday and Saturday.

With this launch, Volaris will face direct competition from AeroMexico, which also operates service between the city pair.

Due to the presence of AeroMexico on the same route, market experts anticipate Volaris to face fierce competition. Though the airline feels that Ontario - Guadalajara route has enough potential to sustain to airlines. This launch will split traffic but will offer passengers with more choices.
