WestJet adds three weekly flights on Toronto-Deer Lake Region

WestJet Airlines announced its decision to add three flights to its winter schedule for Deer Lake Region Airport. The airline will offer thrice-a-week service to Deer Lake beginning October 21, 2013. With the launch of these new flights, the Alberta-based budget carrier will offer cheap tickets to this destination through the year.

Chris Avery, WestJet’s Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances, and Corporate Development said that the airline’s new schedules are a reflection of its growing popularity on many domestic and international routes and a surging demand for increased frequency.

The new flights between these two Canadian cities will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Brie Ogle, Westjet’s Media Advisor said that Encore, WestJet’s new regional carrier has made it possible to establish round-the-year connectivity with this city. She divulged that strong demand from western Newfoundland passengers is another reason for the airline to arrive at this decision.

WestJet is expanding its flight schedules. As part of its growth, it will add a permanent service between Toronto and Fort McMurray beginning October 27, 2013.
