WestJet starts direct flights from Fort McMurray to Las Vegas

WestJet recently launched its new twice-weekly, direct service between Fort McMurray and Las Vegas. The service on this route commenced from June 24, 2014.

The flight from Fort McMurray will depart at 8:50 p.m. and arrives in Las Vegas at 9:21 p.m. The return flight will leave Las Vegas at 3:23 p.m. and arrives in Fort McMurray at 7:55 p.m. The service on this route will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Chris Avery, vice president network and schedule planning WestJet, said that Fort McMurray and WestJet are partners for the last 13 years. The year 2014 has proved to be significant for expansion. The airline is committed to improve its choices and connectivity, and benefit the passengers. The airline is offering twice-weekly, direct flights from Fort McMurray to Las Vegas. The other flights from McMurray include direct, daily flights to Vancouver, Kelowna, and Toronto. The airline is also providing thrice weekly service from McMurray to Calgary and Edmonton.

The enhanced services from Wood Buffalo region will prove to be a great boon for the residents of Northern Alberta, and offer better choices and more favorable schedules for leisure as well as business travelers.
