World’s first Beer-themed hotel to open in San Diego in 2018

The United States is set to see the opening of the world’s first beer-themed hotel in San Diego. The hotel will be opened in 2018 by a brewery named Stone Brewing, based in San Diego, The Stone Hotel will be built with an estimated amount of $26 million. It will be spread in an area of 100,000 square feet, and would be located adjacent to the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station venue. The sprawling hotel will be prominently featuring a bar-style lobby. The guests upon arrival would be served a free Stone Beer. Moreover, in-room ‘beer growler’ service would also be offered to the guests with the draft beer being placed in the rooms in a jug.

Media reports said that the rooms of the newly built hotel will have huge windows from floor to ceiling, in addition to a balcony. The hotel would also be designed with innovative water saving and energy efficiency features. Among other facilities being offered at the Stone Hotel includes an 8,000 square feet ballroom, an outdoor event space, a pool deck, and a 10,000 square feet rooftop garden. The beer theme of the hotel would also be prominently displayed with a photo of beer flowing from a tap on its front driveway.

The Stone Brewing is in fact a “microbrewery”. It is currently the tenth largest brewery in the United States. It is also a famous attraction in San Diego today, and the second most visited after the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It is also renowned for its popular beers, particularly Stone IPA. Many quirky and unusually themed hotels are present in different parts of the world today, and the Stone Hotel would be the latest addition after it is inaugurated in 2018.
