Switzerland’s national carrier Swiss International Air Lines or Swiss recently announced it is planning to revamp its first class, business class and Senator lounges at Zurich Airport’s Terminal A. The refurbishing exercise is to take place in 2017. The revamp will be similar to those of the first class, business class and Senator lounges at the airport’s Terminal E.
Anna Brändli, Swiss’ Manager of Ground Services Product, said, “The revamp of the lounges is expected to start at the beginning of 2017. It is though difficult to say at this stage as to how long it will take for the whole work to be completed. Much depends on the situation at the airport since construction activity is to take place soon and the revamp is also needed to be aligned accordingly.”
The final designs of the lounges are still being deliberated and to be finalized. One thing is however for sure that the lounges are set to be declared a non-smoking zone finally. This is simply because of the fact that a large space has been allocated for smokers, but only few visitors have been seen smoking. The huge space is therefore being seen to be a mere waste of a good location.
Earlier, Swiss inaugurated its brand new first class, business class and Senator lounges at Terminal E of Zurich Airport. The exquisite Swiss design with fabulous interiors, fine woodwork, and exuding warmth instantly mesmerizes the visitors. The lounges are spread in an area of nearly 3,300 square meters offering panoramic terrace views of the airport as well as the Swiss Alps.
The Business Lounge E has bright, open areas for relaxation. The visitors can look forward to even more relaxation prior to their flights by making use of the recliners in quiet zones. The lounge also has a cooking station and buffet for the visitors.
