Virgin Atlantic Airways to launch additional London-Montego Bay flights this winter

More Virgin Atlantic Airways flights will be available to the Caribbean this winter. The airline recently announced it is adding capacity and planning for an additional weekly flight from London Gatwick to Montego Bay in Jamaica.

The announcement has come just days after the airline revealed its decision to stop flying on London Heathrow-Nairobi route from September this year. 

Virgin Atlantic Airways in a statement said that it is adding a new Friday departure from November this year to London Gatwick-Montego Bay route. The airline is currently operating flights on this route on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The additional flight will bring frequency to the Caribbean resort destination of Montego Bay up to three flights every week.

Nick Parker, Virgin Atlantic Airways’ Caribbean Regional Manager, said that the flight is expected to bring a welcome boost to tourist and visitor numbers to the UK and Jamaica with the growing demand between the two destinations.
