Lufthansa Airlines schedules it resume flights to Iraq on April 25. Airline readies to serves this service four times weekly between Frankfurt and Erbil. According to the airline, they examining all the possibility of routes to Iraq and has now ready to confirmed that services to Erbil on April 25, using A319 aircraft, which was configured for 132 seats in an economy and business class layout.
Flight departure from Frankfurt at 1015 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and arriving into Erbil at 1540, flight takes approx. four and half hours for serving one route. The return leg will depart Iraq at 1645, landing back into Frankfurt at 2025, added by Airline.
After a break of 20 years, Lufthansa resume services to Iraq. Austrian Airlines has served Erbil from Vienna since 2006 and already offers a codeshare to Lufthansa on this route. The German carrier also plans to resume flights to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad this year and on the process of making the necessary preparations to do so.
