Lufthansa Airlines to be the first to introduce A380 on San Francisco route

Lufthansa Airlines will become the first airline to introduce the A380 carrier from May 2011 on the San Francisco route.  

The airline will replace the Boeing 747-400 aircraft and will introduce A380 carrier, which will operate daily from 10th May 2011.

Lufthansa Airlines is currently operating A380 carrier over its Johannesburg, Beijing and Tokyo route and will be adding New York into the list by the end of February.

By introducing the A380 on the California route Lufthansa will be the first to serve San Francisco with the superjumbo. At present the airline has been serving the California city from Munich with A340 aircraft.

Flights such as LH454, departing Frankfurt at 09.35 a.m. and arriving in San Francisco at 11.55 a.m., and LH455 leaving California at 02.20 p.m. and landing back in Frankfurt at 10.05 a.m. the following day will be introduced  this may.

In December Qantas Airlines was the first to introduce the superjumbo to Los Angeles city. Singapore Airlines is expected to join the list to serve La by the end of March.
