Iberian Airlines recently announced the introduction of new direct flight service on Barcelona-Sao Paulo route.

The airline will provide two-times weekly flights from 19th June 2011. With this the airline will enter into competition with Singapore Airlines that recently announced thrice-weekly service between Barcelona and Sao Paulo from 28th March 2011.

The aircraft A340-300 with 254-seat will depart from Barcelona at 9.00 pm on Wednesday and Sundays and will arrive in Sao Paulo at 03.30 am the next day. The round trip flight will depart Sao Paulo at 01.50 pm on Mondays and Thursdays and will arrive in Barcelona at 05.40 am the following day.

On the contrary, Singapore Airlines will operate three-time weekly flight on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays through its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
