A recent Skytrax Airline Quality Audit has awarded Oman Air an official four-star quality and service rating for the year 2011. Besides, Oman Air’s business class seat has also been named as one of the top three business class airline seats in the world.

Skytrax is recognized worldwide as a leading independent authority on airline quality and assessment. The audit, which was conducted in January and February this year, examined all product and service delivery areas of Oman Air’s operations. Earlier, Oman Air was awarded a three-star rating during the last Skytrax audit conducted few years ago.

Chairman and CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted said, “Oman Air has made great strides in recent times and the airline’s Official 4-Star ranking is well-deserved, as is their inclusion within our list of the top business class airline seats. Skytrax’s full star rating determination examines more than 800 areas of each airline’s product and service delivery, both on the ground and in the air.”

Peter Hill, CEO of Oman Air, expressed his happiness over the ranking. He said, “This recognition of the high quality of Oman Air’s service is extremely satisfying, especially as it has been awarded by Skytrax, whose knowledge, expertise and independence are unparalleled.”

Oman Air has recently introduced luxurious new Airbus A330 aircraft and launched new routes across Europe, Middle East, East Africa and South and South East Asia.
