British Airways is all set to operate international flights to Australia through codeshare agreement starting March end.
Media reports recently said that British Airways has entered into a codeshare pact with Cathay Pacific Airways for flights to Australia. Both the airlines are members of global airline alliance Oneworld.
The launch of the codeshare agreement by British Airways and Cathay Pacific Airways from March 31, 2013 would provide the customers of both the airlines opportunity to book cheap air tickets.
The reports said that the customers of British Airways traveling to Australia would be able to seamless connect via Hong Kong to Cathay Pacific Airways-operated flights bearing the British Airways flight code. The codeshare flights would be connecting British Airways customers to Australian destinations, including Cairns, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
Currently, British Airways is operating twice daily flights to Hong Kong from London Heathrow Airport. The customers can book flight tickets on codeshare flights as they are on sale now.
