by Richa G 20. March 2013 10:10

Qantas, an Australian air carrier recently announced that it will be offering its business class passengers for Apple iPads for in-flight entertainment purposes. At present the iPads will offer passengers with over 200 hours of TV, music and movies. However, in future these Apple devices will offer passengers business apps, digital newspapers and magazine, interactive games etc.

This facility will be offered on business class flights operated by a Boeing 767 with 254 seats flying between Honolulu and Sydney. Sporting a customized interface founded on a particular “Q Streaming” application, the gadgets will get free access to the planes onboard Wi-Fi.

The introduction of this new in-flight entertainment device is part of the refurbishing drive undertaken by Qantas on its Business Class flight between this transcontinental coast-to-coast service. The all new business class section will also adorn with new carpets, curtains, lighting and seat covers.
