UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it is all set to open its premium lounge in Terminal A at Washington Dulles Airport early April this year.
The new premium lounge has been built at a cost of $6.8 million and can be utilized by passengers booking first class and business class flights traveling to the Middle East.
The airline in a statement said that the premium lounge would help the first class and business class passengers to relax before taking the tiresome 13 hours 30 minute flight to the Middle East countries from Washington D.C. The airline however said that the flight duration to Abu Dhabi from Washington has been shortened by 90 minutes than flights to Washington from Abu Dhabi.
The airline disclosed that it has launched nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and Washington to be operated on a daily basis. This is the first direct flights services between the two capital cities.
