Travelers from Middle East will now be able to buy airline tickets at competitive rates with the launch of new flights to Belgrade by Etihad Airways. UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced the launch of its maiden flight to Belgrade from Abu Dhabi.

The airline’s inaugural flight to the Serbian capital of Belgrade landed at Nilola Tesla Airport on June 16, 2013. Etihad Airways flight departed from Abu Dhabi and arrived at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport at 12.15 pm. The airport fire engines were at hand to welcome the new aircraft with the traditional water cannon salute.

Etihad Airways will operate the flight on Belgrade-Abu Dhabi route with the help of an Airbus A319 aircraft. The flight between the two cities will be operated daily.

Etihad Airways also disclosed that it has entered into an agreement with the Serbian national carrier Jat Airways and said that both the airlines will add their respective code to above 40 destinations on each other’s networks.
